ABOUT THE STALLIONS

The Texas Stallions Track Club is a young organization founded on the principles of Dedication, Determination and Discipline. As a board and coaching staff we pride ourselves on being able to provide our athlete's with one on one attention that receives results. The Texas Stallions Youth Track Club was founded October 31, 2005 by Melvin Kizzee and Perry Hightower in Spring, Texas and competed in their first season in the Spring of 2006. In 2008, Coaches Kizzee and Hightower departed the organization, leaving the Stallions with Coach Paul Durisseau.

Coach Paul recruited Coaches James Carnes and Lavoxkeia Carnes to help carry the Stallions into the future, together, they have have formed the Texas Stallions you have before you today. On September 9, 2009 the Stallions changed their legal name to Texas Stallions Track Club, to broaden its scope to help young adults who had aged out of the high school and Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) systems, but still needed help and support to achieve their goals of competing on the collegiate level. In 2010, the Texas Stallions Track Club, incorporated as a Texas Nonprofit Corporation and obtained its 501(c)(3) organization.

Since 2009, we have grown from a tiny 10 member organization only offering Outdoor Track and Field to a small/mid-size organization offering year-round training opportunities in Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field and Cross Country.

In 2012 we held our very first event---the 1st Annual Texas Stallions Relays on April 27, 2012 and and Texas Stallions Cross Country Invitational on October 6, 2012, we expect to continue these great events for many years to come.

At the beginning of the 2016 season,  the new “Stallions Elite Track Team”,  was developed with the vision of incorporating more student-athlete driven programs into the organization.  A new registration process, new cost structure, & the development of new more advanced training programs for the beginner & the advance athlete,  which provides more of a one on one advanced style of coaching.  We have also incorporated more web-based technologies into our trainings & team communications, which allows the team to communicate much better.  We have reorganized our program to partner with various professional coaches on staff & in the area  to give our advanced athletes the ability to gain year around training outside regular track seasons & times.

The Texas Stallions Elite Track Team is a branch of the Stallions Track & Field Foundation
